Riteish Deshmukh proudly announced 'Faster Fene' as his next venture in the Marathi film industry as a tribute to his mom on her birthday, 10th October 2016. The film would be jointly produced by Mumbai Film Company, owned by Riteish and Zee Studios.'Faster Fene' character:
'Faster Fene' a well known detective character from yester years gained popularity for almost a decade. This popular marathi comic series was penned by B.R. Bhagwat and many kids during that era have read the comic series. Riteish being one of them and he feels proud to have owned all the books of the series.'Faster Fene' star cast:
For now it is confirmed that Amey Wagh would be playing the lead role. Amey is well known to his viewers as "Kaivalya" from the Zee Marathi show 'Dil Dosti Duniyadari' and has already worked in movies: 'Popat','Shutter', 'Billu Barber' and the recent 'Ghanta'. Amey is known to give complete justice to whichever character he enacts.
It seems to be a coincidence that when Amey was introduced to the marathi entertainment industry people used to say he resembles Riteish! There are rumors that Amey has declined offer from Mahesh Manjrekar as he has signed the lead role for 'Faster Fene'.
Other than Amey, Parna Pethe, Shubham More will also be seen in the movie. Under the direction of Aditya Sarpotdar, director of 'Classmates' the story has been re-written by Kshitij Patwardhan.

Entering politics does not seem to be there on Riteish's mind right now. It was in 2013 that Riteish launched his home production Mumbai Film Company, with his debut movie 'Balak Palak' which was directed by Ravi Jadhav. Next, Genelia D’Souza, Riteish's wife produced 'Lai Bhaari' wherein Riteish made his action debut in the Marathi film industry.
Riteish seems to be very much exited about the movie, as he tweeted: “From owning a comic book to making a movie on it. Proud to announce our next Marathi production ‘Faster Fene'.”
Well, goes without saying that Marathi film industry is definitely gearing up with its awesome music and great story writing. With the introduction of movies such as 'Faster Fene' the level of marathi movies will rise one more level as the character is very dear to the marathi mass.
