Bangladesh Honours former Pm of India Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee with  "Friends of Bangladesh Liberation War Award" for his support for the Bangladesh Independence from Pakistan.
  • PM Narendra Modi will recieve this awards during his visit to Bangladesh from 6th,June.
  • Former PM Atal Bihari is unwell ,so he can't visit Bangladesh.
K. Sivan( ISRO Scientist), assumed office as the 12th Director of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC).
  •  He takes over from M.S. Dathan who has retired from service. Dr. Sivan joined ISRO in 1982. 
Top Indian archer Deepika Kumari beat Chang Hye Jin of Korea in straight sets to clinch the bronze medal in the women's individual recurve event of the World Cup.
