4. Will there be a common interview after the Online Pre / Main Examination result?

Ans. Yes, there will be common interview

5. What is the age criteria to apply in this common online exam?

Ans. Age (As on 01.07.2015): Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 30 years

6. Is there any Age Relaxation?

Ans. Yes, there is age relaxation as follows –

  •     Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe: 5 years
  •     Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
  •     Persons With Disabilities: 10 years
  •     Ex-Servicemen, Commissioned Officers including Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs)/ Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs) who have rendered at least 5 years military service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year from the last date of receipt of application) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or physical disability attributable to military service or invalidment: 5 years
  •     Persons ordinarily domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period: 1-1-80 to 31-12-89 5 years
  •     Persons affected by 1984 riots: 5 years

7. What is the educational qualification required for various posts in this recruitment process?

Ans. A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

8. I have given exams of my final year graduation but result has not yet been declared. Can I apply?

Ans. No. You can not apply. If the result is out on or before 01.08.2015 , only then you can apply.

9. What is the application Fee?

Ans.  
  •            Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
  •            Rs. 600 /- for all others'

10. I have scored 55% in Graduation. Am I eligible to sit for the exam?

Ans. Yes, you can apply as there is no percentage criterion. You just need to be a graduate.

11. I am 19 years old. Can I sit for the exam?

Ans. No. You have to wait another year in order to appear for the exam. You must be at least 20 years of age and not more than 30 years of age as on 01.07.2015.

12. Is the exam Bilingual?

Ans. The tests except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.

13. What is the cut-off for being recruited?

Ans. There is no fixed cutoff for IBPS PO exam. It depends on the performance of the candidates each year. Your final score is calculated based on your performance in the written test and the interview.

14. I have cleared the overall cutoff of the exam. However, I could not clear the cutoff for the general knowledge section. Am I still eligible?

Ans. Unfortunately, you are not eligible to move to the interview stage. You must clear the cutoff for each section and the overall cutoff as well.

15.Is there a criterion for negative marking?

Ans.There is negative marking of ¼ marks for every wrong answer.
