The channel claims to endeavour to find the ‘best English voice’ from India through the show.Viacom18 EVP and head of English Entertainment Ferzad Palia said, “There are numerous gifted English music artists in this country. Unfortunately, they have never had the opportunity to showcase their talent, but now, with ‘The Stage’, we are providing them with the platform where they can finally do that.”
“It is a large platform with television being just one of its parts where we not only identify talent but also focus on the journey beyond winning the show, thereby exporting the talent and taking them international. The winner gets a recording contract with Universal Music, which will be released globally followed by on-ground gigs and city tours,” Palia explained.
