News about Hard Kaur

Hard Kaur is back to playing the sport that she adored 20 years ago - cricket. Kaur had to leave cricket as her family moved to England two decades ago.

However the BCL (Box Cricket League) has given her the opportunity of getting back to her favourite sport and the singer is making the best of it.

BCL is a cricket league that was initiated by Balaji Telefilms for Indian television and now Leo Stride Entertainment is working on its Punjabi version. The show is all set to air on 9X Tashan and a few international Punjabi channels. Kaur is a part of this league.

“I have been practicing every Sunday and it’s great fun,” reveals Kaur. “I have played a lot of cricket as a kid. So, I am still good at batting and also hitting people with a bat,” she laughingly adds.

The singer is practicing really hard for BCL as she wants her team to win however, given the format of BCL there is a lot of off field drama.

Kaur says, “When one plays cricket they are bound to use a word or two that can offend others and make for some TV drama.”

Apart from playing cricket Kaur is currently focusing on her independent work. She will soon be releasing a single titled ‘Aise Karte Hai Party’ with Times Music.

“A lot of people would consider this to be my comeback, but the fact is that I was always around. However, it gets difficult to get a financier and a label on board when you are doing independent work. Besides, I like offering the best to the viewers as they have high expectations from me, and so do I from myself,” says the ‘Laung Da Lashkara’ singer.
