Damanpreet said  "This is the first time that someone is doing a show on the life of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. I consider myself lucky as being Punjabi, it is a great honour for me to play this role as we have high regard for Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Since my childhood days, I have been hearing stories about him and now getting a chance to play him is like a dream come true,"

Tanisha said: "I have always been fascinated by stories of kings and queens, so getting to be a part of this historical period drama seemed like the perfect opportunity. Even the dialogues in the show are very powerful and will be a combination of Hindi and Punjabi, so I am very excited to be a part of this project".
