Miss World 2017 Wikipedia Biography

Born to doctor parents, Manushi Chhillar was enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery when she decided to enter the beauty pageant. She is also an outdoor sports enthusiast who is passionate about paragliding, bungee jumping, snorkelling and scuba diving.

Furthermore, she is a trained Indian classical dancer.
As part of the pageant, for a project called Beauty with a Purpose, Manushi Chhillar spread awareness about menstrual hygiene in India. Her initiative was called Project Shakti for which she visited about 20 villages and made difference in the lives of about 5,000 women. She is also named one of the five winners of the Beauty with a Purpose award at Miss World 2017.

Education/Early Career

Manushi was born to doctor parents and grew up in Haryana. She studied at St Thomas School in Delhi and Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women in Sonepat.

Her advice to youngsters is, "Believe in yourself and never shy away from hard work. It does not matter what others think, 'beauty' is just perception. Get up every morning, tell yourself you are beautiful and gear up to win!".
