IBPS RRB Office Assistant:

IBPS RRB office assistant exam is comprised of two stages.

  • ·        Preliminary exam
  • ·        Main exam

Preliminary Exam:

This is the initial stage of selection process.
  • ·        Prelims exam will have two sections namely quantitative aptitude and reasoning ability.
  • ·        Quantitative aptitude section has 40 questions. Total marks for this section is 40.
  • ·        Reasoning ability section has 40 questions. Total marks for this section is 40.
  • ·        So, the total marks for the exam is 80.
  • ·        Penalty for every wrong answer is 0.25.
  • ·        No sectional timing. A composite time of 45 minutes is given.

Main Examination:     
This is the final stage of selection process. Candidates who cleared the prelims examination will be called for the main examination.
·        Main exam will have 5 sections namely English/Hindi language, general awareness, computer knowledge, quantitative aptitude and reasoning ability.
·        Each section has 40 questions. Total marks for the exam is 200.
·        1/4th of the mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
·        No sectional timing. A composite time of 2 hours will be given.     
IBPS RRB Officer Scale I:
IBPS RRB Officer Scale I recruitment has 3 stages.
  • ·        Preliminary exam
  • ·        Main exam
  • ·        Interview

The patterns for preliminary and main exam are as same as the one for IBPS RRB office assistant. The candidates who clear the main will be called for the final interview.
