Rajendra K. Pachauri resigned as Chairman

• Rajendra K. Pachauri resigned as Chairman of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change on 24th February 2015. Pachauri is a Member of Prime Minister’s Council on Climate Change. 
• He held the post from 2002 to 2015
• In 2007 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change won Noble Peace Prize
• Pachuri resigned due to a sexual harassment charge

• Rana Bhagwandas, the first Hindu Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan, died on 23rd February 2015.

• On 24th February 2015, Chris Gayle of West Indies became first Cricketer to score Double Century in ICC Cricket World Cup. 
• Gayle is first the non-Indian to make a double century
• Gayle and Samuels made biggest partnership of 372 runs for second wicket

Surya Kiran-VIII started in Nepal

• Surya Kiran-VIII, Indo-Nepal joint military exercise started at Saljhandi, Nepal on 23rd February 2015. 
• This military exercise will continue for two weeks
