Meri Jaan Hai Tu is upcoming show on Zindagi tv which is originally a Pakistani show directed by Mehreen Jabbar based on a novel "Meri Jaan Hai Tu' which is written by Farhat Ishtiaq .
It was originally aired on Hum TV between March 2, 2012 to June 22, 2012. The drama follows the lives of two Columbia students, Haniya Sajjad and Ibad Uzair .
Haniya is a second generation Pakistani immigrant who loses her parents early on in the drama series. Ibad is a young Pakistani who has joined Columbia university for his master's degree after completing his bachelor's degree from NED University, Karachi and a brief stint at his father's business.
Next, we see Haniya in Karachi, where she manages to get a job in
Uzair's firm without revealing her real identity. Uzair and Hajra take a
liking to Haniya and she eventually moves into their house, where they
treat her like a daughter. One night, Haniya enters Ibad's old room and
breaks down on seeing his belongings. Uzair notices her and she realizes
that he has guessed her true identity. At this point, there is a
flashback in which we see that Ibad, on his way to the airport after
visiting his parents, met with an accident and died on the spot. Haniya,
who was talking to him on the phone at that time, lost consciousness
when she heard what had happened. She remained in shock for months and
almost attempted suicide. At that point, she saw a vision of Ibad,
asking her to meet his grieving parents and heal their wounds. Leaving
her comfortable life in the US, Haniya came to Karachi and tried to
fulfil Ibad's last wish.
Coming back to the present, Haniya goes to Uzair and confesses her identity, asking his forgiveness for her deception. He then reveals that he has known all along who Haniya is. They tell Hajra the truth. Amidst tears, there is a reconciliation among all three. In the end, we see Hajra, Uzair and Haniya as a loving family, remembering Ibad and making plans for the future.

Story of Upcoming Meri Jaan Hai Tu Zindagi Tv show
Haniya Sajjad a.k.a. 'Honey' and Ibad Uzair a.k.a. 'Aabi' meet as students at Columbia University,
New York. Haniya has lost her parents and lives with her grandmother.
Haniya and Ibad fall in love. But when Ibad, on a trip back home,
informs his parents about this relationship, his father Uzair
makes it clear that he will never accept it. As a dutiful son, Ibad
decides to forget his love and marry the girl chosen by his father. When
Ibad returns to the US, however, Haniya loses her grandmother and is
left distraught. Moved by Haniya's loneliness and his love for her, Ibad
decides to marry her at once. After a short honeymoon, Ibad visits
Pakistan to break the news to his parents. Uzair explodes in anger and,
ignoring his wife Hajra's
pleas, announces that Ibad is no longer part of the family. A saddened
Ibad, on the way to the airport, rings up Haniya and tells her what has
happened. To comfort him, Haniya promises that she will go to Pakistan
and gain his father's forgiveness.
